NBA Trade Rumors: 10 players that could be traded by the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline.

With the NBA trade deadline a little over a month away, trade rumors are about to take over the NBA media landscape. From the All-Stars like Ben Simmons and Pascal Siakam to veteran role players like Thaddeus Young and Eric Gordon, here are 10 players that could be dealt by the trade deadline

1. Ben Simmons

The most likely player to be dealt by the trade deadline is Ben Simmons for reasons that have been discussed at length at this point. However, the funny thing is, Ben Simmons is exactly the type of player the Sixers need right now.

A defensive-minded guard who can defend every position, can distribute and create open looks at an elite level, is an impressive rebounder, and pushes the tempo. With that being said, the idea of Simmons returning to Philly is long gone. It’s just a matter of time before Sixers general manager Daryl Morey and company decide to pull the trigger on a deal.

The only question is whether or not Morey finds a deal that he likes. He’s been adamant in wanting a major haul back for Simmons that includes an all-star caliber player that can help maximize Joel Embiid’s prime. But, at this point, it’s very unlikely that Morey gets what he’s been asking for.

The Sixers may have to settle for a package of solid veteran role players, or they can wait till the off-season to find a deal. But that would mean, essentially, wasting a year of Embiid’s prime. It feels likely that a Simmons deal will happen before the deadline. It’s just a matter of which team decides to go all-in on Simmons.
