7. De’Aaron Fox

This one may be a surprise to some, but the Sacramento Kings are in need of a shake-up.

Through his five seasons in the NBA, De’Aaron Fox has been one of the lone bright spots for this Kings franchise. He’s currently averaging over 20 points per game for his third straight season and is also dishing out 5.1 assists per game. He’s shown flashes of superstardom and has proven to be a very good starting point guard in this league.

The thing is though he hasn’t contributed to winning. That may not be his fault though since the Kings franchise is quite the dumpster fire. However, the more damning thing is how good backup point guard Tyrese Hailbruiton played when Fox was forced to miss some time.

In the four games Fox missed due to health-and-safety protocols, Haliburton balled out. He was finally given the keys to the offense and didn’t disappoint.

According to The Ringers Kevin O’Connor, in the four games without Fox, Haliburton was first in the entire NBA in touches (113.5) and minutes per possession (10.1) The second-year pro averaged 23.5 points per game and 11.3 assists in what was the best stretch of his young career. This new opportunity Haliburton was given has allowed him to progress as a player.

With how Haliburton played with Fox off the court, the Kings seriously have to consider dealing Fox for a wing for a center who can better compliment Haliburton and enhance his abilities.
