James Harden is not shocking whatsoever. If healthy, you can bet the farm that Harden is going to score in bunches and get to the line better than pretty much anyone we’ve ever seen.

Harden, playing himself into shape at the start of the season, and making the adjustment to the new points of emphasis on shooting fouls, got off to somewhat of a slow start for Harden’s standards. It may have been the lingering injury he suffered in last year’s playoffs, who knows. However, James has without a doubt, figured it out.

Ever since the Christmas road trip to LA, Harden has been on a tear, and although his free throw attempts are down from when James was in Houston, he’s still among the league’s best at getting to the line. I chalk up the decline of free-throw attempts to the fact that he’s the facilitator on a loaded team that also happens to have the best scorer in the game, Kevin Durant.

With that said, of these three players in this specific category, he’s drawing the most contact, and shooting the best percentage from the line. What a player, he is.
