NBA Trade Rumors: Could the Utah Jazz trade Joe Ingles at the deadline?
The Utah Jazz would be the story of the Western Conference, once again, if it weren’t for the hot starts from the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. Nevertheless, getting off to a 28-12 start to the season is only good enough for third in the West at the moment.
And the Memphis Grizzlies are hot on their tail, just one game back.
As the push for the playoffs quickly approaches, the Jazz will need to figure out a way to make some incremental improvements to maximize this team’s core. One way to do so is going to be via the trade market.
With the trade deadline a little more than a month away, the window for Utah to make a move is now. Question is, will they be willing to take the necessary steps to pull one off?
According to a recent report, the Jazz considered the option of trading Joe Ingles during the offseason but ultimately decided against it. If Utah wants to make an upgrade at the deadline, you can’t help but feel like this could once again reemerge itself as an option.
Especially with how good the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns look, I’m not sure the Jazz can let the trade deadline pass without making some sort of move.
If the Jazz sees a possible move, they have to consider moving Ingles. He’s one of the most realistic assets on their roster considering he’s an expiring contract after this season.
Utah is one of the teams that could win the Western Conference this season. They have the top-tier talent that a true contender needs. They may need a little help, however, and the trade deadline will represent an opportunity for them to solidify their title chances. It may cost them Ingles, though.
