NBA Trade Rumors: There is more and more evidence that the Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to be buyers at the NBA Trade Deadline.

With the NBA Trade Deadline less than a month away, this is the time when teams will begin to align themselves as they prepare for the push for the playoffs.

Adding an extra wing, guard, or big is something that many teams will want to pursue over the next few weeks before the trade deadline.

One team that has garnered some unexpected headlines this season has been the Cleveland Cavaliers. And there are more and more whispers that this team intends to be a buyer at the trade deadline.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Cavs have been one of the most active teams in the trade market. He adds that it’s expected for the Cavs to make some deal for a guard before the deadline.

This is far from surprising. The Cavs have been one of the surprise teams in the Eastern Conference this season and they should be buyers at the deadline. They’re 23-18 and are just 2.5 games back of the third seed. At this point, it would be shocking if the Cavs didn’t make the playoffs. Adding a reinforcement or two could go a long way in strengthening this team’s playoff chances.

Even though Cleveland is somewhat ahead of schedule, this is one of the most exciting teams in the conference and they will have as good as a shot as any other team to make some noise once the postseason begins.

The true question is whether or not they will find the right guard to solidify this team’s depth. After losing Collin Sexton and then Ricky Rubio for the remainder of the season, the Cavs need to make a move to give them an additional push in the second half of the season.
