NBA Rumors: Paul Geroge could be sidelined for the remainder of the season for the LA Clippers.

The LA Clippers are falling quickly down the Western Conference standings and there may not be any reinforcements for the remainder of the season.

There was hope that before the end of the season, both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard would be back with the team. Now, according to a recent report, there’s a growing chance that neither will make their return to the hardwood until the 2022-23 NBA season.

"[via Bleacher Report]While the team’s initial announcement on Christmas Day stated George would be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks, the Clippers are operating under the possibility that George may not return this season, sources told B/R."

And if George is not returning this season, it would make little sense for Kawhi to make a return as he continues to rehab from a torn ACL. Even though there was some momentum that he could possibly return this season, it would be a bad move on the part of the Clippers.

For what started off as a somewhat promising season is quickly turning into one to forget. Considering the cards that they’ve been dealt this season, it’s not exactly surprising. But it surely is a bit deflating.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Clippers approach the NBA Trade Deadline and the way they do so could give us an inside look at what we can expect from their two star players and a possible return for this season.

It’s amazing how quickly things can change in the NBA. Suddenly, you have to wonder whether the championship window for the duo of George and Kawhi has closed in LA. The latest news is far from encouraging.
