NBA Trade Rumors: The Sacramento Kings are expected to trade both Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield at the trade deadline.

The Sacramento Kings are a team that was thought to be trending in the right direction just a few weeks ago. However, after losing 13 of their last 19 games, the expectation is that the Kings will be sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline.

There are questions about nearly every player on the roster – including De’Aaron Fox – and there’s no guarantee that this team is still headed in the right direction. It would make sense if the team explore the trade market over the next few weeks.

Two players that could be the subject of trade talks over the next few weeks are Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield. Both players are good players that could be of use to a contender that is in need of consistent contributors.

In fact, a recent report takes it a step further. According to Marc Stein, the Kings are expected to trade both Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield at the NBA Trade Deadline.

Both Barnes and Hield, depending on the asking price, should be able to create a healthy market for the Kings over the next few weeks. Any contender looking for shooting or a consistent wing should be in on their availability.

Sacramento will likely be looking for either young players, expiring contracts, or draft picks as compensation. The Kings could use somewhat of a soft reset as they look to find the right collection of players that could help get the franchise back on track.

The Kings have not made the playoffs since the 2005-06 season and it doesn’t appear that is going to change this season. They have some big decisions to make this offseason as they have to figure out if De’Aaron Fox is the right franchise player for the organization.

It would be surprising if the Kings weren’t somewhat active at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline.
