Can you trust DeMar DeRozan?
One of the biggest reasons that the Chicago Bulls are sitting atop the Eastern Conference is the play of DeMar DeRozan. He’s having arguably the best season of his career as he’s averaging 26 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game on 49 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent shooting from 3-point range.
I’m not sure if there’s any precedent for an all-star to have the best year of his career during his age-32 season. Even though DeRozan has successfully done that so far this season, I’m not sure how much we can trust that during the playoffs.
Not to question that he’s known for having postseason struggles in the past. In fact, that’s pretty much all DeRozan is known for at this point in his career, fair or unfair. If the Bulls’ championship chances are relying on DeRozan to continue to play at this high level and buck his playoff MO – good luck.
