The Chicago Bulls have an inconsistent defense

When they’re healthy and all playing at a high level, there’s no question that the Bulls are one of the most dynamic teams in the league. But most of that is due to their offensive prowess. The offseason additions of Lonzo Ball and DeRozan have paid dividends but I question if they have enough defense to win in the playoffs.

Generally, for a team to win a championship, you need to have a good defense. At the very least, an average one. Right now, I’m not sure if the Bulls have one. They are ranked 19th on defense and are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

The loss of Patrick Williams has likely hurt this team more than many believe and unless they make a trade at the deadline, it’s difficult to see this team making a big rebound on that end of the floor.
