NBA Trade Rumors: The Sacramento Kings are reportedly eyeing Ben Simmons and Domantas Sabonis as the trade deadline quickly approaches.

If there’s one team that’s looking to make a big splash at the NBA Trade Deadline, it’s the Sacramento Kings. They’ve been rumored to be in more than a few big names and have more than a few interesting young pieces that would warrant interest.

Two names that the Kings are reportedly interested in acquiring ahead of the trade deadline are Ben Simmons and Domantas Sabonis – two of the bigger names reportedly on the open market.

The big question, of course, for the Kings revolves around who the team is willing to swap for a big name. It’s going to take a lot for the Kings – or any team for that matter – to land Simmons or Sabonis.

For the Kings, it could very well come down to whether they’re willing to trade their two big pieces. Quite frankly, we don’t have a concrete answer on that front.

After some smoke over the past couple of weeks, it appears that the Kings don’t intend to trade De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton but they’re still looking to make a big upgrade to its roster.

On the surface, it would seem like a huge gamble for the Kings to trade their two best trade assets for two players that perhaps have hit their respective ceilings. Even though Simmons would bring the star power, I’m not sure he’s worth the gamble at this point in his career – especially when he comes with more questions than answers.

I don’t think there’s much doubt that the Kings are going to be one of the more active teams heading into the trade deadline – for better or worse. The big question is whether they’ll be active as buyers or sellers. Right now, it could really go either way.
