New York Knicks trade target: Ben Simmons

It should come to the surprise of no one that the Knicks should absolutely try to get in on the Ben Simmons sweepstakes if they can. I’m not sure what exactly the Knicks could cobble together to offer the Philadelphia 76ers, but they should try.

Even though Simmons has had his struggles, specifically in the postseason last year, there’s no question that he’s a player that can change the trajectory of a franchise. Simmons is at the beginning of his prime and there’s a good chance that the best basketball of his career is still very much in front of him.

It would likely take a third team, and perhaps would cost one of their major players (perhaps Julius Randle?), but a retooling trio of Simmons, RJ Barrett, and recently acquired Cam Reddish would be quite interesting heading into the future.
