Potential deal:

New York Knicks get: Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley, 2024 first-round pick (top 10 protected)

Sacramento Kings get: Julius Randle, Alec Burks

The New York Knicks must face the music. Their current bill hasn’t been ideal and they have regressed plenty this season. It’s probably time to realize that while Julius Randle is a good player, he’s probably not a No. 1 in this league. And that’s OK.

New York should explore to trade Randle and perhaps could find a viable trade partner with the Sacramento Kings, who could be looking for a roster shakeup in their own right.

One potential deal revolves around swapping Randle and Alec Burks for Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley, and a draft pick.

The Knicks would not necessarily get better but would be better positioned to find the right collection of players that could take this team to the next level. The Kings get a strong frontcourt player that could help them in their build.
