Underrated trade candidates: Terrence Ross SG/SF

2021-22 Stats: 11.6 PTS, 2.8 REB, 2.1 AST, 0.5 STL, 0.3 BLK, 40.8 FG%, 31.7 3PT%

Once one of the league’s premier dunkers, Terrence Ross has become more balanced offensively and is one of the league’s best bench scorers. Averaging about 12 points in 25 minutes per game, Ross’ talent is being wasted in Orlando as the Magic find themselves an abysmal 11-40.

Ross can put up 20 points any given night and when he gets hot, can be impossible to guard, even by the opposing team’s best defender.

He struggles on the other side of the floor, as his defensive rating of 115.1 is below the league average of 110.6. He’s also a streaky shooter who can hit really rough stretches especially from behind the arc.

Ross is owed $12 million this season. A couple of second-round picks and a cap filler would be a fair return for a struggling Orlando team. Ross would be a great fit in either Utah or Boston and would become a crucial piece of either team’s offense, especially in the playoffs.
