NBA Trade Rumors: The Utah Jazz are expected to target Harrison Barnes ahead of the trade deadline.

After the injury to Joe Ingles, which will cost him the remainder of the season, it would be wise for the Utah Jazz to try and find his replacement over the next week before the trade deadline.

In fact, even if the injury would’ve never happened, it was expected that the Jazz was going to be at least somewhat active. Even more so now, however.

The Jazz will likely be shopping for wing options at the deadline. One of the top wing assets that are expected to be available at the trade deadline is Harrison Barnes, who is averaging 16 points and six rebounds per game on 45 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range.

"[via Bleacher Report]Harrison Barnes had been mentioned as a primary target for Utah."

Though, it’s been noted that Joe Ingles’ injury is only going to make things more difficult head toward the trade deadline. He was an expiring contract that would’ve been valuable as an asset. However, now that’s he’s suffered a significant knee injury, it’s hard to see any team signing off on such a deal with him included at the deadline.

That doesn’t mean the Jazz won’t exhaust all options in their pursuit for a defensive wing replacement. It makes sense for Barnes to be a target, especially considering that he’s one of the best on the trade market.

If the Jazz is going to have to outbid to land Barnes, it’s difficult to see how they are able to make it happen.

Expect the Jazz to make a move at the deadline and while it seems as if Barnes may be the primary target, it’s hard to see them landing him with limited assets.
