NBA Trade Grades: Cavs score big in acquiring Caris LeVert for stretch run

This is one of those trades that simply made sense for both teams. Caris LeVert needed a change of scene and it doesn’t get any better than the Cavs as a landing spot. They needed to replenish the losses of Ricky Rubio and Collin Sexton.
LeVert may not be the playmaker that Rubio was but he certainly does fill a lot of what Sexton did. One thing to watch is whether LeVert can get his efficiency up. So far this season, LeVert is shooting 45 percent shooting from the field but just 32 percent shooting from 3-point range.
The Pacers get draft assets as they head into the offseason where they will likely be reshaping the roster.

With the NBA Trade Deadline later this week, the Cavs are probably done and ready to finish the season strong. As far as the Pacers are concerned, it would be surprising if there wasn’t another move coming before the deadline.
