NBA Trade Deadline bold prediction No. 4: The Brooklyn Nets will NOT trade James Harden for Ben Simmons

There have been recent whispers that the Brooklyn Nets are now open to trading James Harden, presumably, for Ben Simmons. Despite the fact that they may hold talks, I’m still bullish on the idea of it all.

It seems too convenient for it all to come together a week before the trade deadline. Even though on the surface a straight-up trade of Harden for Simmons seems to make sense for both sides, I believe that both sides are going to be greedy and want more.

That leaves me to believe that this trade will not go down ahead of the trade deadline. That said, that doesn’t mean that it couldn’t happen during the offseason if Harden wants a change of scenery when he has more leverage.
