NBA Trade Rumors: 8 trades that need to happen at the deadline

C.J. McCollum to the Dallas Mavericks

Even though it would be unlikely for the Portland Trail Blazers to sell off C.J. McCollum without a star in return, I believe that he would be a great fit next to Luka Doncic on the Dallas Mavericks. It’s a move many would love to see.

The Blazers would get a valuable asset in Jalen Brunson would they could end up sending to a third team if they wanted and a first-round pick to help with their build. Plus, they get a rejuvenated Kristaps Porzingis who could perhaps fit better with Damian Lillard.

Both the Mavs and Blazers need some sort of roster shakeup and they could both benefit from such a trade, even if it wouldn’t be the most popular of swaps.
