NBA Trade Grades: Nets, Sixers make blockbuster Simmons-Harden swap

Philadelphia 76ers trade grade: A

James Harden has the chance to make some history with the Sixers and there’s a good chance he could be remembered as the final piece of the puzzle for this franchise getting over the hump. He is going to be an excellent complementary player to Joel Embiid, who may win the NBA MVP this season.

The Sixers essentially traded someone that was giving them nothing this season for a superstar shooting guard. That has to be viewed as a huge win for the franchise overall. And Daryl Morey wins again.

I’m not sure there are many ways to look at this situation other than the Sixers coming out as big winners. The Sixers are legit Eastern Conference contenders once again and, assuming healthy, this team is going to be extremely difficult to beat in a seven-game series.
