The Portland Trail Blazers are hoping to build around Damian Lillard in free agency

In a matter of a few days, the Portland Trail Blazers drastically changed the trajectory of its franchise. However, the hope is that the front office can quickly recover and rebuild around Damian Lillard one more time.

Lillard has, once again, given the organization confidence that he won’t demand a trade and given them a green light to make such moves. Nevertheless, the Blazers better have a plan for the offseason – in which they will have a ton of cap space, specifically $60 million.

In the days leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline, the Blazers traded away CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, Robert Covington, and Larry Nance Jr. Either way, the Blazers are going to look a lot different next season. The hope is that Lillard will still be leading the way, however.
