Golden State Warriors: B

When looking at the Golden State Warriors roster, where is the obvious upgrade? Besides getting Draymond Green healthy, there’s not much more the Warriors can ask for right now. They’ll have opportunities to pick up a backup center for depth in the buyout market, and have stud rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody waiting in the wings.

The former has played a fair amount, flashing his intense athleticism on both ends of the court. There wasn’t an obvious move for Golden State without selling on their young talent, all of which have immense potential, making it difficult to grade them any lower than a B.

Houston Rockets: C+

In a similar situation to Detroit, the Rockets had every opportunity to trade Eric Gordon to a contending team, yet decided to hold onto him. He’ll likely be dealt either in the offseason or next deadline. It doesn’t make much sense to hold onto him any longer, as he only eats up minutes for the young backcourt of Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr.

However, the Rockets were able to get off the salary of Daniel Theis for no draft capital or extended salary. Getting some of their veteran talent off the books should have been a priority, but instead, the Rockets were relatively quiet on Thursday.
