10. Portland Trail Blazers – Tari Eason, F, LSU
Over the last few seasons, the Portland Trail Blazers have suffered from bad or mediocre defense. This selection would be an attempt to address that. Tari Eason is all about defense and would automatically carve out a role for the team on that end of the floor.
He’s an active wing that will be able to guard multiple positions at the next level. Eason has risen up draft boards in recent weeks and finds himself as a lottery possibility. What makes Eason intriguing is that he might be the best two-way player outside the top 3.
Eason is averaging 17 points and seven rebounds on 53 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent shooting from 3-point range in what is his sophomore season at LSU.
