5. Detroit Pistons – Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue

After falling down a few slots in the lottery, not all is lost for the Detroit Pistons. I believe that this team’s biggest need – which is kind of silly to say for a rebuilding team – is finding a backcourt mate for Cade Cunningham.

They could try to do that in the draft, free agency, or via trade. I tend to think they’ll try to do it with a top 5 pick. The offensive firecracker that is Jaden Ivey, who has made quite the jump from his freshman to sophomore season, could be that fit for the Pistons.

Ivey is averaging 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’d be an intriguing addition to an already talented Pistons core.
