4. Memphis Grizzlies
In the Western Conference, there’s not a bigger story of an underdog than the Memphis Grizzlies. Led by Ja Morant, the Grizzlies have consistently been one of the best teams in the league. Morant is having an MVP-level season in which he’s averaging 27 points, seven assists, and six rebounds per game on 49 percent shooting from the field.
The Grizzlies are currently third in the West standings and could be a dark horse threat to make a deep playoff run. And if they do so, it will likely be in large part to the greatness that Morant is.
Memphis is going to be an interesting team to watch once the playoffs start. If they want to be more than just a good regular season story, they’ll have to prove it when it matters most. And that’s in the playoffs.
