18. LA Clippers

Considering that it’s unlikely we’re going to see Paul George again this season, there isn’t much expectation for the LA Clippers over the last few weeks of the regular season. And that will carry over into the playoffs.

The Clippers have been admirable to remain in the playoff race this season, but this is not a team that’s going to make much noise if they get there.

17. Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets remain one of the most interesting young teams in the league but they’re still a year or two away from being a true contender in the East. They need to continue to build around LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges this offseason, even if there’s a chance they could make the playoffs.
