Los Angeles Lakers: Buy or sell LeBron’s commitment to the Lakers?
So what will really happen this offseason between LeBron and the Lakers?
It’s difficult to try and interpret what LeBron and his team are doing or angling toward. It always is. However, there is precedent and I have to believe that this is going to be a huge offseason for both LeBron and the Lakers.
There’s one big fact in all this: LeBron is still under contract for one more season and it would be highly unlikely that he gets traded. That said, LeBron is probably going to enter the offseason by trying to make the best of his situation.

I’d imagine he’s going to put the pressure on the organization to try and acquire a third star (while trading Russell Westbrook). If the Lakers fail on that front, that’s when it could get interesting. It’s hard to imagine the Lakers heading into another season with a core of Westbrook, LeBron, and Anthony Davis.
