NBA: Predicting which teams will make the Play-In Tournament in the West

10 seed – New Orleans Pelicans

For the 10th seed in the Western Conference, it will essnetially come down to picking between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Portland Trail Blazers. My gut tells me to take the team that is somewhat healthier and more talented.

Right now, that’s the Pelicans. Even if Zion Williamson doesn’t return this season, and there’s no evidence that he will, the Pelicans are still in good hands with recently acquired CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram.

The Pelicans could be an interesting dark horse in the Play-In Tournament because of their dynamic duo. But it’s hard to see them being a huge threat in the postseason.
