NBA Rumors: Is Bradley Beal really “leaning” toward re-signing with the Washington Wizards? 

Heading into the offseason, one of the biggest storylines that will shape the NBA summer will revolve around Bradley Beal and what he elects to do. Beal can opt-out of the final year of his contract with the Washington Wizards.

And the expectation is that he will, whether that is to explore free agency or to sign another max extension with the Wizards. Either way, what he decides could end up being one of the bigger dominos of the offseason.

While there are many teams hoping that they could pry Beal away from the Wizards, whom he has shown extraordinary loyalty to, there is also a good portion of the league that believe he’ll never leave Washington.

Perhaps those people will be enlightened because Beal says it’s fair to say that he’s “leaning” toward re-signing with the team.

This would be huge news assuming this is indeed accurate, even though there is a growing sense that this is ultimately the decision that he’s going to make. Nevertheless, there is a large group of the NBA media that also believes he could be ready to move on.

Beal has been somewhat ramming his head into the wall with the Wizards. Even though they seem to reshuffle the roster nearly every offseason, they’ve failed to find a collection of players that give Beal the proper support he needs to help the team take a step forward in their build.

Many would assume that because of that, perhaps he’d be open to a change of scenery. At least for now, Beal is more than willing to quell any concerns about him leaving Washington.

Nevertheless, this is still a big question and narrative that could very well end up shaping the offseason.
