Before the season, the Miami Heat were viewed as a team that could emerge as a contender if they remained healthy. Well, the interesting thing about this team is that they haven’t remained healthy but are still a contender.

They’ve been a top 3 team in the East for the majority of the season and have one of the best defenses in the league. If their core 4 of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Kyle Lowry, and Tyler Herro are all healthy in the playoffs, there’s no question that they’re going to be a force.

That’s a big “if”, though. Their core 4 have played together in less than 20 games combined this season.
