3. Detroit Pistons – Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue
After an up-and-down season from Cade Cunningham, especially depending on who you ask, it’ll be imperative for the Detroit Pistons to hit a home run with another projected top 3 draft pick. It wouldn’t be surprising if they pursued a guard early on in the draft.
One potential option is Jaden Ivey, who at least for now is the No. 1 projected guard in this draft class. Ivey is having a big sophomore season for the Purdue Boilermakers as he attempts to lead them deep into the NCAA Tournament.
He has improved on nearly every front compared to last season and is averaging 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists so far this season. A big tournament performance could go a long way in cementing himself as a top 3 or 4 draft prospect.
