The Milwaukee Bucks are hitting their stride (and getting healthy) at just the right time.

After starting off slow, it appears that the Milwaukee Bucks are beginning to pick up steam and are charging forth as the NBA playoffs quickly approach. Milwaukee is getting healthy, hitting its stride, and will likely be playing its best basketball heading into the postseason.

Brook Lopez is reportedly set to return to the team’s lineup Monday against the Utah Jazz. Lopez had been sidelined since opening night with a back injury. After some concern about whether or not he would return this season, Lopez is in fact in line for his return and should give this team a much-needed boost to the frontcourt.

Over the past two months, as the Bucks have gotten healthy and healthier, they’ve looked impressive on both ends of the floor and have notched impressive wins over the Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies, Chicago Bulls (twice), Miami Heat, and Phoenix Suns.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has continued to be on a tear and it seems as if the rest of the supporting cast is beginning to play better and better. Even though Khris Middleton has struggled for much of the season, he’s begun to play a notch better during the month of March.

Jrue Holiday has been especially impressive over the last two months and it has shown consistently on the floor. On nights in which the Bucks have been the most impressive, Holiday has been the team’s second-best player as he’s been a problem on both ends of the floor.

And now with the return of Lopez, the team’s frontcourt depth will only be aided. Even though the Bucks acquired Serge Ibaka to help on that front at the NBA Trade Deadline, the return of Lopez was always going to be the one move that would give this team the best chance at repeating. And we’re finally going to see it.

Over the last two months, the Bucks have begun to steadily improve and play better and better. The good news – or bad news for other contenders around the league – is that I still don’t think this team has played its best basketball of the season yet.
