Oscar Tshiebwe, F, Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky is a blue-blood in college basketball and they always seem to have the talent that other teams wish they had. One of those players is the West Virginia transfer, Oscar Tshiebwe. The 22-year-old is having an outstanding season for the Wildcats, and he can be a big factor in Kentucky making a run.

In two seasons with WVU, Tshiebwe averaged 10.6 points and 8.9 rebounds a game. He has elevated his game and he averages 17.0 points and 15.2 rebounds for Kentucky. I think he made a great choice in deciding to go to Kentucky.

His 6-foot-9, 260 pound frame is not one that is easy to stop. He makes a huge impact on the boards for Kentucky and he makes the lives of his guards easier by being able to clean the glass and can even get out and run in transition. Tshiebwe earned 2021-2022 SEC POY, 2021-2022 All-SEC, and 2021-2022 SEC All-Defense honors. My NBA comparison for Tshiebwe is Andre Drummond.

Kentucky is the two-seed in the East Region of the tournament. The Wildcats will face the 15-seed St. Peter’s Peacocks in the first round of the NCAA tournament. This game will air on Thursday, March 17th, at 7:10 pm.
