Johnny Davis, G, Wisconsin Badgers

Johnny Davis is in his second season as a Wisconsin Badger and he is flourishing into an elite-level player. He made a huge jump in his play this season and it’s no secret that he is a major reason why the badgers have had success this year.

In 2020-2021 Davis averaged 7.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He doubled his stats from last year and is averaging 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. His incredible play this season earned him 2021-2022 All-Big Ten honors and also 2021-2022 Big Ten POY.

As a 6-foot-5 guard, Davis has the ability to do it all on the court. I think a good NBA comparison for Davis is LaMelo Ball. The Badgers loved the season they got from Johnny, but his stellar play may not leave him in college much longer. Madison is happy for what they got out of him if he does go to the draft.

Wisconsin earned a three-seed in the Midwest region. The Badgers will take on the 14-seed Colgate Raiders on Friday, March 18th, at 9:50 pm.
