Under the assumption that Damian Lillard is not going to demand a trade away from Portland Trail Blazers, this is a team that has enough assets to add enough pieces around their star. They have two first-round picks and have already been linked to Jerami Grant.

The Blazers should also have enough cap space to make a big splash in free agency if they want to. With a healthy Lillard, it’s not to see how the Blazers won’t at the very least be a playoff team in the Western Conference.

Plus, if they are able to land a huge star in the offseason – they have the assets to get something like that done – this team has the potential to make a quick retooling around Lillard.
