NBA Mock Draft 5.0: A.J. Griffin rises; Knicks acquire Zion Williamson
23. Brooklyn Nets (via PHI) – Bryce McGowens, F, Nebraska
The Brooklyn Nets are going to be in a much better place next season, with a healthy Ben Simmons, so any player they add at the draft will add to the team’s depth. Or, at least, that’s the hope.
McGowens averaged 17 points this season at Nebraska but only shot 27 percent from 3-point range. It’s something every team will have to consider if taking him with a first-round pick.
24. Dallas Mavericks – Blake Wesley, G, Notre Dame
The Dallas Mavericks will be whale hunting this offseason in an attempt to find a star complementary player for Luka Doncic. They have failed to do so in each of the last few seasons. However, they should also use the draft wisely too.
Blake Wesley could be an option and a player worth taking a chance on.
