Immanuel Quickley is dishing
While the New York Knicks season is heading to the toilet with just five games left to go, one of the noticeable bright spots for the team this season is the improvement of Immanuel Quickley, especially as a passer.
Per CleaningTheGlass, Quickley’s Assist percentage has jumped from 16.2% last season (38th percentile) to 22.0% this season (65th percentile). In addition, Quickley’s assist to usage ratio has gone from 0.64 last season (15th percentile) to 0.94 (56th percentile) this season.
The improvements, especially shooting the ball, will not jump off the page upon initial viewing, but Quickley did shoot percentages of 45/40/86 in 26 minutes per game in March, so hopefully, he can finish this season well and carry momentum into next season where he will certainly get a shot to fill the black hole that is currently the Knick’s point guard position (and no, Alec Burks is not a point guard).
