My pick for the NBA MVP award

The Denver Nuggets have the worst record out of the Bucks and Sixers without their star player. The Nuggets are 2-6 without Jokic in 2022, the Sixers are 4-8 without Embiid and the Bucks are 6-9 without Antetokounmpo.

The voters are very biased and narrative-based, so it makes sense for Jokic to win another MVP and make it back-to-back MVPs. Throughout history, a lot of past MVPs have won in twos.

In recent memory, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Giannis Antetokounmpo have won back to back back back back-to-back MVPs. That leaves Jokic in a prime position to capture his second straight MVP regardless of where the Nuggets are in the Western Conference standings.

With that being said, all three of these players will eventually make their way to the Hall of Fame and all of them will have at least one MVP.

My pick is Joel Embiid. Jokic might be the most valuable player in the NBA, but that does not mean he gets the award every season just like Antetokounmpo is the best in the world. Embiid has carried the city of Philly for years and it has finally paid off.

There is no better force in the NBA than Joel Embiid. A center who can put the ball on the floor, shoot from mid-range, and occasionally hit 3-pointers.
