Three big questions and a prediction ahead of the start of the first-round series between the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz.

In the Western Conference, there might not be bigger pressure on a team in the first round than there is on the Utah Jazz. There has been plenty of noise surrounding this team’s dynamic duo (Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert), but there is very much on the line as the playoffs begin.

Will this be the final season of this team’s core together? Will Quin Snyder seek other opportunities? It may not seem like it on the surface, but there could be some big changes coming Utah’s way if they lose in the first round.

As for the Dallas Mavericks, this is a team that will be looking to make it out of the first round of the playoffs with Luka Doncic, which became much more of a complicated task after he was injured during the final game of the regular season.

We explore three big questions and offer a prediction before the Mavs and Jazz get their series underway.
