Will star power or depth prevail?

In this first-round playoff series, we have the classic clash between star power (Sixers) and depth (Raptors). If Philadelphia had more depth, I’m not sure this series would be a tough call. However, because of that, coupled with the fact that Toronto is one of the deepest teams in the East, this series has the potential to be an all-timer.

This series could largely be determined by what will prevail between the star power of Joel Embiid and James Harden against the depth of Toronto – Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr., OG Anunoby, and Scottie Barnes.

If the Raptors are going to be successful in this series, they’re going to need two things to hold true. First, they’re going to have to carry their stingy defense into the postseason, and, second, they’re going to need their depth to be a game-changer.

It’s very possible that ends up being so.
