Prediction

As much as I wanted to pick the Raptors in this series, I simply don’t have enough guts to do so. On one hand, I can see why many will be favoring the Raptors in this series. They have an elite defense, championship pedigree, and the best coach in this series.

Ultimately, as is almost always the case in the playoffs, I’m leaning toward the star power Joel Embiid, the possible NBA MVP, and James Harden to get the job done. Their star power alone may not be enough deeper in the playoffs, but it should get them past a pesky Raptors team in round 1.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this series went seven, but I believe that Embiid is just too much for the Raptors’ frontcourt and Harden will get enough calls to put the pressure on Toronto’s perimeter defenders.
