Exploring three big questions and a prediction ahead of the start of the first-round NBA Playoff series between the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans.

No other team in the NBA can say they were consistently as dominant as the Phoenix Suns were throughout the regular season. They finished with the best record in the league and will have homecourt throughout the postseason as they look to avenge a loss in last year’s NBA Finals.

The first team that the Suns will have to get through is the New Orleans Pelicans, who earned the 8th and final playoff spot after winning two games in the Play-In Tournament.

Even though the Pelicans are the 8th seed, they should be a good test for the Suns. A matchup that should get their feet wet for what appears will be an intense and competitive Western Conference playoff bracket.

Before the start of this series, we explore three big questions and a prediction for this first-round NBA Playoff matchup.
