NBA Mock Draft 6.0: Spurs jump into top 3; Lakers offload Russell Westbrook
4. Orlando Magic – Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue
An argument could be made that the NBA Draft doesn’t truly begin until after the consensus top 3 are selected. That means the Orlando Magic are truly a team to watch with the No. 4 pick. With the way the board has fallen, Jaden Ivey falls to the Magic.
Ivey gives the Magic another guard prospect that the team could continue to build around and would give the team four solid backcourt players alongside Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony, and Markell Fultz.
It would give the Magic some flexibility in trying to figure out their future at the position. I’m not sure if any of their guard prospects have separated themselves as franchise cornerstones.
