Find a point guard that can shoot

In addition to retooling the roster, the Lakers are going to have to find a replacement at the point guard position for Russell Westbrook (under the assumption that they do trade him). And they should be targeting a replacement that can shoot – which would be an ideal fit next to LeBron and AD.

We didn’t see Kendrick Nunn at all this past season with the Lakers, but I highly doubt that he’s going to be the answer for them. And Los Angeles can’t fall into that assumption – that would be another mistake.

Not only do the Lakers have to improve this offseason via addition by subtraction, but they also need to add pieces that are going to help this roster contend. Trotting out a starting backcourt of Kendrick Nunn and Austin Reaves (or Malik Monk) simply doesn’t move the meter much.
