New York Knicks: 4 offseason goals to prioritize for the front office
Re-sign Mitchell Robinson
You may not know it unless you paid closer attention to Mitchell Robinson this season, but he is coming off arguably the best season of his career this past year. During his fourth year in the league, Robinson averaged 8.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game on 76 percent shooting from the field.
He’s a free agent and it will take work for the Knicks to re-sign him, but the team needs to make it a priority. Robinson may not be a unicorn but he’s still an incredibly good and productive center for the modern game.
The Knicks have some good young bigs in Obi Toppin and Robinson. It would make little sense for New York to simply let one of their good young developmental projects to simply walk away this summer.
