The Sixers are snake-bitten

Even when all seems to be going right for the Philadelphia 76ers, it isn’t. That had to be the feeling for Sixers fans when they held a 3-0 series lead over the Toronto Raptors only to find out that Joel Embiid is dealing with ligament damage in his thumb.

Embiid is destined to fight through the pain and continue playing, but you can’t help but think how this could turn the team’s entire season south. One bad fall, hit, or movement, and could it all change?

The Sixers have looked good thus far in the playoffs. However, if they’re not going to get a fully healthy Embiid for the remainder of their playoff run, it’s difficult to envision this team reaching their lofty goals.
