Assuming that the New York Knicks don’t move up during the draft lottery, it would be somewhat surprising to see TyTy Washington Jr. fall to No. 11. However, there’s still plenty of unknown between now and the NBA Draft, so nothing should be off the table.

The Knicks addressing the point guard position at the draft might be the best possible avenue as it would be less cost-effective and would give this team true promise to find the answer long-term, though it does come with risk.

Point guards are difficult to translate when making the jump from college to the NBA and using essentially a top 10 pick on one could set the franchise back another few years if it doesn’t pan out. Nevertheless, Washington is the second-best point guard prospect in this draft class and would be a worthy selection if available when New York picks.
