Collin Sexton, free agent

Collin Sexton is slated to be a restricted free agent this offseason. Even though the Cleveland Cavaliers would want to bring him back, especially considering how good this team was even without him this season, I’m not sure if they could afford it in the long run.

That’s where a team such as the New York Knicks can swoop in. The Knicks will have the cap space to offer Sexton a big-money deal, which is what he’ll be looking for, and that would leave the Cavs with a huge decision to make.

Ultimately, I don’t believe the Cavs will re-sign Sexton. Cleveland can’t pay everyone and needs to allocate some money for Darius Garland and Evan Mobley extensions. If that indeed becomes the case, there’s a chance Sexton could be there for the taking for a team like New York.
