Brooklyn Nets: 4 offseason goals to prioritize for the front office

Get on the same page as Ben Simmons

There’s probably disappointment all around surrounding the fact that Ben Simmons didn’t suit up for the Brooklyn Nets this season. However, that doesn’t mean any of it should’ve been leaked.

When the Nets acquired Simmons, it was always about the next season. Even though there are a lot of “what ifs” after a disappointing first-round playoff loss from the Nets, taking it out on Simmons is not fair.

The he said, he said reporting that took place toward the end of the season from the Nets and Simmons is not going to cut it. That’s not what you see from well-run organizations in the league. That can’t be what we see all summer, leading up to the start of the season.

The Nets and Simmons need to get on the same page, and fast.
