Find a starting center from the bargain bin

The Nets won’t have much money to spend during the offseason (assuming they re-sign Kyrie to a long-term deal), so they will likely have to find a starting center from the bargain bin in free agency. While easier said than done, it’s not all that impossible.

Andre Drummond likely is going to pursue a big-money deal and that’s probably not something the Nets are open to. Brooklyn has other offseason concerns and the center position has become somewhat interchangeable as of late.

Though, the Nets still need to find an answer for the position. The good news is that they just need a center that can defend the rim, be somewhat versatile on switches, and finish around the basket.

If the Nets can accomplish these four things heading into the offseason, there’s a very good chance they are right back among the rest of the contenders in the Eastern Conference.
