Why the Toronto Raptors could be the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 series lead against the Philadelphia 76ers.

No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit. However, the Toronto Raptors are just two more wins away from being the first team to ever do so.

That said, that will be easier said than done. Even though the Raptors have looked like a much different team in the last two games of the series compared to the first three, the Sixers are still very much in the driver’s seat.

Even if he’s a bit hobbled, the Sixers still have the best player in the series and James Harden (who may not still be the player he once was but is still a high-quality star). The Sixers will also have at least two shots of closing out the Raptors. After whiffing on their first two tries, Philly will get two more.

Odds are in the Sixers’ favor too. It’s difficult for any team to beat any other team four times in a row, regardless of the situation – which is a big reason why no team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit.

Though, the Raptors will attempt to do the unthinkable. And it all starts with Game 6  in Toronto.

Even though it would be extremely surprising, we explore three reasons why the Raptors could be the first team to come back from a 3-0 series deficit.
