Figure out the Quin Snyder situation

It’s not clear what Quin Snyder’s contract situation is with the Utah Jazz, but there have been whispers for the past few months that he could be available sooner rather than later on the open market – whether that’s this offseason or next remains to be seen.

Either way, it’s never great for a head coach to be considered a lame duck. And if the Jazz is sure he is the coach that’s going to continue to lead this group into the new era of Jazz basketball, they need to extend him once more.

If not, it’s time they part ways. And this would probably be the offseason to do so – unless, of course, the team elects to run it completely back next season. However, considering the team has lost in the first round of the playoffs in two of the last three seasons, that seems highly unlikely.
